About Ellie Saldivar

Ellie Saldivar is a first-generation Mexican American who was taught by her parents the value of hard work and pushing the boundaries of possibility. She graduated with her degree in Business Administration from Vanguard University of Southern California and later went to Northern Ireland to receive her master’s degree in Conflict Transformation and Social Justice at Queen’s University Belfast.

With a passion for people, Ellie got her start by being an Academic Success Coach during her time at Vanguard University, serving minority and probationary students by helping them find their footing so they could excel in a university setting. Using her education and curiosity, she never stopped asking questions and expanding the new program, almost doubling its size and campus awareness while forming relationships with different departments.

During her time in Northern Ireland, Ellie took the time to not only research and expand her knowledge on Social Injustices but also became an active part in both the Men’s and Women’s Fencing Team as a coach and player, respectively.

Ellie gives back to her community by regularly coaching youth volleyball as a volunteer. She enjoys spending her free time with her friends and family, traveling, and exploring new hobbies.
